About Us
Upon the disassembling of the former Church at this location. Bible Believers Community Church was born and given a unique opportunity with a fresh start with a church building and the furnishing to go with it. We give the Lord all the credit and glory for giving us the property, furnishings, Grace, Hope, and a new day! Thank God!
With little more than a dozen founding members along with Pastor Calvin Glock and wife Sammi, Bible Believers Community Church was founded in November 2022. Established in December 2022 and opened its doors in January 2023 with a dedication ceremony and grand opening on January 8th, 2023.
As our name implies, we at Bible Believers Community Church believe the Bible as it is God’s written Word. We endeavor to have an obedient and loving relationship with our Father in Heaven and His Son, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We also strive to develop close relationships with our Christian brethren and live peaceably with all people. As Christians, we spread the Gospel of Christ to the lost, and disciple saved followers of Jesus Christ. When denominational traditions run awry, we must disentangle from all disparity of Scripture and aim to stay true to the Bible.
Seeking God. Living as a family. Loving our community. You are invited to join with us as we give God the Father and Jesus the Son, all the Praise, Worship, and Honour due!
Statement of Faith
We Believe:
The Bible-The Bible is the inerrant, infallible, inspired, preserved Word of God (II Tim. 3:16; Ps. 12:6-7; Jn. 17:17).
The Holy Trinity-God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit make up the Holy Trinity (I Jn. 5:7).
God-In the existence of only one living and true God, an infinite Spirit known as God the Father but also existing simultaneously as Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit (Gen. 17:1; Ps. 83:18; Jer. 10:10).
Jesus Christ-God manifest in the flesh as God the Son through the virgin birth while maintaining absolute deity for the purpose of vicarious atonement through the death of the cross (Jn. 1:1,14; Is. 7:14, 9:6; I Pet. 2:24; I Cor. 15:3-4; I Thes. 4:16-17).
The Holy Spirit-That the Holy Spirit is a Divine person equal with God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son actively at work in the regeneration, indwelling, sealing, endowment, resurrection and glorification of every believer (Tit. 3:5; I Cor. 6:19; Eph. 1:13, 5:18; Rom. 8:23).
Salvation-The salvation of a soul requires confession of our sin nature and faith in the finished work of the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, thus, our need for Him as our Saviour. It is by grace alone without any of our own works (Rom. 10:9-10; Eph. 2:8-9).
Eternal Security-That the saved are kept by the power of God unto eternal salvation so that they can never fall away or be lost (Jn. 5:24, 10:27-29; Rom. 8:35-39; Phil. 1:6).
The Church-That all saved believers, both Jews and Gentiles, make up the church. These comprise His body and Christ is the head of it (Eph. 1:22-23, 3:5-6). Christ Body is manifested through local congregations made up of born-again believers who meet together for evangelism and edification (Acts 20:17-28; Eph. 4:11-16).
Ordinances-That there are two ordinances to be kept by the local church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Acts 8:36, 18:8; I Cor. 11:23-32).
Separation-That all believers should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Lord and Savior and that separation from sinful pleasures and worldly practices and associations and ecclesiastical apostasy is commanded by God (II Cor. 6:14, 7:1; Eph 5:11; II Jn. 10).
Second Coming-That there are two distinct phases of the Second Coming.
His coming in the air to catch away His bride, the church, which is the believer’s blessed hope. This is the imminent pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return of Christ (I Cor. 15:51-53; Titus 2:13; I Thess. 4:16-17).
The second phase is at the end of the tribulation period or Daniel’s 70th week when the Lord returns to this world with the saints to sit on David’s throne and establish His Millennial Kingdom (Rev. 1:7, 19:11-21; II Thess. 1:7-10; Matt. 24:27-30; Zech 14:4-5; Mal. 4:1-4).
Dispensations-That the Bible must be divided into periods of time known as dispensations and to understand and interpret scripture the Bible must be studied dispensationally (II Tim. 2:15; Eph. 1:10, 3:2).
Human Sexuality
We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between one naturally-born man and one naturally-born woman. (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 1: 26-29; 1 Cor. 5:1; 6:9; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4)
We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one naturally-born man and one naturally-born woman. (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23)
Family Relationships
We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions for men and women in the home and the church. (Gal. 3:28; Col. 3:18; 1Tim. 2:8-15; 3:4-5, 12)
We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. (Gen. 1:26-28; Ex. 20:12; Deut. 6:4-9; Ps. 127:3-5; Prov. 19:18; 22:15; 23:13-14; Mk. 10:6-12; 1 Cor. 7:1-16; Eph. 5:21-33; 6:1-4, Col. 3:18-21; Heb. 13:4; 1 Pet. 3:1-7)
Missions. We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:20)
Lawsuits Between Believers. We believe that Christians are prohibited from bringing civil lawsuits against other Christians or the church to resolve personal disputes. We believe the church possesses all the resources necessary to resolve personal disputes between members. (1 Cor. 6:1-8; Eph. 4:31-32; Matt. 18:15-17)
Giving. We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to them, are then entrusted to financially support their local church. (Gen. 14:20; Prov. 3:9-10; Acts 4:34-37; 1 Cor. 16:2; 2 Cor. 9:6-7; Gal. 6:6; Eph. 4:28; 1 Tim. 5:17-18)
The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
